What You’ll Find: More Than Just a Shop
Inside the shop, visitors can discover unique items crafted with skill and imagination by dedicated local volunteers. Every piece tells a story of renewal, rescued and often redesigned from ‘nothing of value’ into something truly special. Beyond selling these wonderful creations, the project is passionate about sharing skills, and empowering the community with knowledge of sewing and mending to promote the value of slow fashion.

Driven by Purpose, Powered by People
All activities undertaken by FIXation benefit the environment and the local Russell community:

- Rescuing & Repurposing: The talented volunteer team expertly diverts textile waste, repairing, redesigning, and crafting donated items into attractive, quality products.
- Educating & Inspiring: FIXation raises awareness about the environmental impact of fast fashion and teaches practical skills to help people repair rather than discard.
- Need a mend? A mending service is offered for most items for a $20 donation.
- Giving Back: As a volunteer-run initiative, all proceeds from shop sales are reinvested directly back into local community groups and projects.
Lend a Hand: Volunteer with FIXation!
FIXation thrives because of its amazing volunteers, and more helping hands are always welcome! You don’t need to be able to sew – your time and enthusiasm are highly valued. Help in the shop, sorting donations, ironing, or cutting fabric would be very much appreciated, even for just a couple of hours a week.
