A new initiative for holiday rental owners
Resilient Russell has created a handy Russell Holiday Recycling Checklist. It’s specifically designed for guests staying in Airbnbs and other holiday rentals.
We’re asking all owners and managers of holiday accommodation to download and print the attached PDF copy. Or simply request copies from us and display them in a prominent location in your holiday rental (e.g., on the fridge, in a welcome folder).
It’s a simple yet effective way to encourage your guests to recycle during their stay. It also lets them know they can donate pre-loved clothing and textiles to FIXation and other unwanted goods to St. John’s Op Shop – a fantastic way to support our community initiatives.
Why is this important?
- Keeps our whenua clean: Recycling helps keep waste out of the landfill and protects our environment.
- Saves resources: Recycling conserves precious natural resources.
- Supports local legends: FIXation and St. John’s Op Shop do awesome mahi in our community, and this is a great way to support them.
- Keeps Russell/Kororāreka looking stunning: A clean environment is essential for everyone’s enjoyment.
